Am I the only one who is getting concerned regarding Medical Request? Its almost 4 months since our group received the AOR's.

Hey guys,

So I was able to get in touch with one of the Officers in the detroit office through our International Student advisor at our University and this is what he said regarding the new CEC Worker Stream.

I am unable to provide real clarification because these announcements refer to proposed changes only, however the proposal is for CEC Worker Stream applicants requiring two years of employment within 36 months where they will require 12 months of employment within 36 months to qualify. At this time we do not know when any proposed changes will come into effect. It does not appear that this would affect international students unless they apply under the CEC worker Stream.

Now alot of you are saying that the new CEC Worker stream proposal will take effect on the 1st of Jaunuary, I am just curious as to what evidence there is regarding its implementation starting from the 1st of January? It could be implemented in the middle of 2013 who knows? I don't mind waiting and applying under the CEC worker stream if its January but if it gets very late then I will have abit of a problem.

I wouldn't say what's right or wrong but I think you're taking bets on full of uncertainities especially when immigration policies are such dynamic in every perspectives ...
When I applied FSW in 2007, I thought I would definitely get my PR by 2009 the latest, but turned out totally unexpected that CIC changed the policies in 2008 as well as in 2010 ...

My case instantly became miserable till they now cancelled & refund all the backlogs ...
I was actually requested to submit additional doc. in Mar. 2012 but following months another letter came in saying no longer to process ...

At the end, this left me no choice but apply CEC in Apr. 2012 for alternative ...
Anyhow, the lessen I've learned is that apply while you can if time & money are allowed to aviod the unforeseen policies ...

I am actually in the same dilemma as you, except I applied in 2006, 6 f*ing years ago, and I just recently asked them to withdraw my application and sent a new one from within Canada. When I b*tch about it I get bad comments from readers, yet I see babies crying over a 6 months wait, which led me to confirming my belief that most people don't feel with others unless they are in the same dilemma.

I haven't got my medical request as well and my 120 days is coming soon, after the 120 days i will send them an email which it seem it will also take another 2 to 3 months before you got any answer. i am thinking to apply job in the US i starting to think it might be easier to get a green card than a PR in Canada now. my friend who apply for PR long time ago he told me everything is done within 8 months.

I have been in Saudi Arabia for more than 6 months. They want police certificate from there.

It is not clear though if I and my spouse should provide it or just my self ?!!

Does any one have an idea?

If your wife had / has been staying in Saudi Arabia for more than 06 months, you will need to submit her PCC too.
