My Application were received by CIO Sydney on 07-april-2010 and I didn´t receive any AOR or documents returned yet.... What´s happening???
I saw in the list that almost everyone who had their application received by CIO on begining of april have received their AOR...
Any information will be appreciated.

Hi Usman,

You can not get a translation of Birth Certificate done by a Notary Public. Birth certificate has to be translated by a Certified Translator and then Notarised by a Notary Pulic. The credentials of the Translator should be mentioned on an Affidavit.

Once any document is Notarised, it becomes a legal document. When you send your documents you have to send:
1. A copy of the original Birth Certificate (which is in Urdu)
2. A translated version of the Birth Certificate which has been Notarised
3. You don't need to attest a Notarised document.

Hi sb,

I have not heard Birth certificates being issued by Embassy because that does not fall under their domain of jurisdiction. Every country has its own "Birth and Death registration" Department. One would approach this department to issue a Birth Certificate.

Embassy is just a place where Ambassadors live and work. There might be an office in the premises of the "Embassy" that Might Notarise or attest a Birth certificate but definitely not ISSUE a Birth certificate.

Welcome.....I am happy that you found this thread interesting and helpful. Where were you all this time??? Once I get your NOC , I will add you in.

There are couple of applicants in '9th April' category who are still awaiting response. You can call CIO to know the exact date- i.e if they have begun assessment on your application.

How to call CIO- refer to pg 82 on this thread and check Saki's response.

Hi Everyone...
I applied for FSW under Arranged Employment Category on April 30.

I was going through the copies of the forms/documents I sent to Sydney and I noticed an error in my Employment Letter. The letter was dated "28-april-09" instead of "28-april-10". It slipped my attention when I received the letter because I was soo preoccupied with everything else in the application.

I joined this company on April 15, 2009. So, I'm afraid that the immigration officers will come to a conclusion that I've only been employed for 13 days?

I am still working with this company and this is the only experience I have in 0, A, B categories. If this doesn't get accounted for, I would be ineligible because I would have insufficient work experience.

Is there a way I can send my corrected employment letter to the CIO now? Or is it too late? I'm in PANIC mode right now!!
