Thanks Mitali.

About adding my husband and kids at this stage, I would wait for other members opinion and some consultants.

Hi Satnak, that is actually one of the practices in one of the consultancy firms here in the Philippines. They don't include the family members at the initial stage.. and then once the applicant got his/her AOR.. they will add the family members.. just don't know how exactly they do it.. but that's how they explain the process to us.. just want to add that most but not all applicants' interviews were waived... Goodluck to you and your family... ;D

Thanks a lot for your supporting words Anata.

I have just spoken to a Canadian Lawyer and she told me yes I can check YES in the column "ACCOMPANY TO CANADA" and pay their fee, if I want my husband's education points to be added and take him and kids to Canada along with me. In ND VO Checklist it is also mentioned at point 10 that if we have any family member who will not accompany us to Canada, we need to attache a declaration about it. In my case I have to declare that at the time of CIO application, it was not decided that mt husband and kids accompany me due to some family reasons and my husband's business commitments but now things have changed and we all will moving to Canada, together.

I hope She is right. Though I will still consult some more consultants.

Hi Arshad,

The rules of acquiring the Transcripts is different for different Univ.

Generally, the applicant requests the Registrar of the Univ for a Transcript in sealed envelope. They would ask you to provide identification. For very old batch they request for a photocopy of your transcript/marksheet to locate the paper files. Once they find the info they prepare new copy of transcripts and sign with current date and put them in an envelope and seal it. There is a fee for this. You have to send this envelope to VO.

Hope this helps.

Hi Satnam,

Your problem has been solved by Anata...phew...

Though I had a vague feeling that with an explanation in your cover letter about your circumstances might work in your favor but I was not 100% sure, thus I suggested to explain in cover letter.

I too learned from your question and Anata's response.

Thanks to Anata for posting this information.

Mitali/Saki and other forum members

i met with one consultant yesterday and he surprised me while saying that i will get only 22 points for my 17 years of education as they do not consider masters for1 year duration.
i might loose points in this case as i was expecting 25 points for my education 10+2+4+1 = 17
is that true they consider masters of 2 years only in canada ?

but he said i can get numbers for my past work experience it dosen't matter if it was not in 38 occupational list.as per him you just have to have 1 year experience of 38 occupational list and your paST EXPERIENCE counts in any NOC list .how true is this?

Work experience counts from almost all ocupations from NOC list (it's probably - groups: 0,1,2,3 and A). Look at the instructions.

Hi friends,
I'll summarize my situation and you can check my time line:
I am an international student applied to CIC Sydney-NS, Canada in Jan. 2010
I have a job offer and send my documents to Buffalo in April.5 2010, then recieved their letter at May, 4, 2010 telling me that we recieved your documents and here is your file number. On August 10, 2010 the Buffalo office sent me a letter requesting a finger prints from Canada so I did and sent it immediately from that day my E case changed to IN PROCESS and nothing happend aftewr that.

The call centre agent told me that my application has been returned to me on july 26th because the appln form was wrong. and it has not reached at my address till now. what do i do now. Iam in a dilemma like what could be there in the mail , whether I can apply again or not? unless I see the mail sent by them How do I know whether my application is completely rejected or they asked me to re apply. and even Iam not in the new occupation list...

Can anyone tell me how do I get the returned application I mean through post office or wht?
all seniors plz advice .
