There's hardly anyone in this thread who applied under Arranged Employment category...
Do you know if there's a difference between the timelines for Arranged Employment vs. NOC List applications?
I read in the May 2010 thread that certain occupations move 'faster' than others? Is it true?

I am not sure but i have heard and read on the CIC website that if you have an employment offer your application will process faster then compare to other normal applications.

Hi Rubyat,

I sincerely don't know how that could have happened. But its good that they acknowledged the receipt of your payment. Yes, they are taking time and the trend is inconsistent so its really very hard to predict about the situation.

I guess, we can pray and be patient...what has to happen will happen in the time it has to happen.... not a second early or not a second late.

Take care.

Mitali

Dear Mitali,

Wll appreciated....

Really liked it...Take care

Hi Rubyat,

If your credit card transaction shows that money is charged on 24/05 then it is the 24/05 cant be 05/06 as the date appear on the statement is the date when they charge your credit card. They might have started looking at the application laters or something but dont take tension its in the right place and you will hear from them soon. about them saying september that is the standard answer they are giving to everyone so dont take that seriously :)

Question about the IELTS rule change?

I never read about it in the checklist when I applied...? How do I know that I have to send it?

Yeah its not in checklist thats why many people send it without IELTS and there applications has been accepted :) but rom now after 26th June its compulsory to send IETLS result, PCC and copies of the documents to CIC.

HI,

when i dial the number it says , the number is invalid. please let me know what number to call from India.

U almost scared the life out of me... lol...

I already wrote IELTS in Jan '10 and managed to score all 16 points for English, but I didn't include it in my application because it wasn't in the checklist.

Anyways... This thread might clarify the IELTS question to concerned folks like me:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ielts-will-be-required-at-the-time-of-application-submission-to-cio-t36869.0.html

I guess the answer is, not required while sending it to CIO (but sending a copy wouldn't hurt). Should definitely send IELTS score report to the Visa Office.

P.S. After June 26, don't even think about skipping IELTS.

Hi,

Did you call at this number 16139444000? if not try this and then select options in this sequence 1...2...1...2....1

Hey rnaaz...
Maybe you are already doing this... but...

00 - 16139444000

Since you are calling from India, don't forget the '00' in the beginning.

Recently I asked a lawyer about the application returned for mistakes and asked if the resubmitted applications will be considered under the prior to June 26th she said the following.

"The new application will be considered under the new rule.
I had cases where CIO returned the application with a client number attached to it, in this case, CIO will "quote the date it was received". If the date was prior to June 26, 2010, then it will processed according to the old rules.

So, if you were give a client number, and you submitted your file before June 26, 2010, and CIC quoted this date clearly, chances are you will be dealt with according to the old rules. If not, then you have to check if your occupation was dropped off the list, it it did, I would recommend finding other options to immigrate to Canada."
Can anybody tell me what is this "client number" and did they have this number besides the date stamped on their application. Thank you

Hi,

When CIC enter the application in there system it create a client number just like a file number so if anyone wants to get some information about there application they can call and give that client number and CIC will be able to track down the application.
