Approved rental application - binding or no?

Hello!

I have made a rental application for one apartment in Ontario. It contained my personal, bank and income information, no other clauses were included. I did not make any cheque or money order payment. This application has been approved and I have scheduled an appointment for signing a lease agreement.
However, in meantime, I found another apartment, that I like more. Is the previous rental application binding for me? Can I notify the property manager that I simply do not want to proceed with the rental agreement?

Thank you!

You are OK as long as you haven't signed the lease.
Thank you for your reply!

In the Residential Tenancies Act, I found this definition of tenancy agreement:

“tenancy agreement” means a written, oral or implied agreement between a tenant and a landlord for occupancy of a rental unit and includes a licence to occupy a rental unit"

That is why I got a little bit confused since I had an email communication with the property manager about my intention to proceed with the rental agreement and I have also noticed that they removed this unit from their listing.
