Sent Passport: Nov 28. Based on Canada Post track info, it arrived at Nov 29th, 10 AM
Status change to Approved: Dec 13, however, I got the notification email on Dec 14.
Still waiting for them to mail my passport back.

Hi, everyone! I really appreciate people sharing their timeline on this forum.

It would be great if someone who has recently received his/her passport from VAC New York can share the timeline as well.

Here's my timeline:
Passport arrived at VAC mailroom: 8th, Dec.
Passport received by VAC: 12th, Dec.
Passport in transit to Visa Office: 12th, Dec.
Received & Under Consideration: 13th, Dec.

Do you think I will be able to get it back by Thursday (21st, Dec.) next week? Many thanks!

No status updates
Haven’t heard anything till now. When could i get my passport back?

Please keep me updated I have the same case as you and i'm Travelling on the 20th hopefully i receive it by Tuesday.

I think that would only happen if they mail it 18th Monday.
I have a flight on 21st. My application got approved on 13th and the tracking number still not active till now. Based on others timeline, it takes CIC about 10 days from approved it to mail it.

If i go to the office at ottawa Can i pick it up on monday?

Application Submitted Online - November 13th
Passport Request - November 24th
Passport Sent - November 25th
Passport Received by CPP - November 28th
Status Changed to Approved - December 13th
Tracker Activated - Dec 15th (1 hr ago)

My Application was approved Yesterday. can i head over to the office in Ottawa and pick it up because the Tracker hasn't been activated yet?

What is the estimated time after passport submission for visa stamping and returning back to applicant from Toronto? Please comment.

My timeline - Visitor Visa for Indian citizen, applying from US.

Submission Confirmation - November 13, 2017 12:45:34 a.m. EST
Confirmation of Online Application Transmission - November 13, 2017 12:44:47 a.m. EST
Original Passport Request - November 18, 2017 02:36:27 p.m. EST
Passport received by NYC VAC per UPS: Nov 22nd
No confirmation or tracking number from the VAC till December 13 when I called and got the tracking number from them.
On November 29th, there was an update about Counterfoil generated and Document is valid on the CIC website. As of December 15 11am EST, I don't see that table in my CIC application page anymore.

On CIC website, I see some more Counterfoil updates on 12/13 - which says invalid and on 12/15 which says valid. My application now shows Approved.

NYC VAC tracking (as of December 17):
Shows : Your current application status is Passport Received by the Visa Office - Under Consideration
