thats like 10 years does everybody gets it for 10 years? how does it work?

Its not 10 years.. its till the expiration date on passport. 1, it must be a new passport or 2, he must be faking

Hi everyone, I am wondering did anyone in US applyed TRV online around Nov14 in the forum? I applied it online but get nothing right now
My trip is on Dec19 and I am so worried that I might not get my Canada Visa on my departure day...

First thing - I am a girl. Second - I am not faking anything, why would I do that?
I renewed my passport last year, and it's valid for 10 years. So I have got my visa with the expiration date one day prior passport expiration's date.

Hi! I'm from the Philippines. I am desperately seeking for an answer to my Mom's super visa application. It's been 2 months now since we received a message from he MYCIC account that her application has been "approved" and that the status of her application is "Closed". It was also posted there that they will send us instructions on how to get the visa and that they will send it to my mother's account but until now we haven't received yet any updates or instructions on how to get her approved super visa.

We hope someone could give us an answer regarding our problem and hoping that you can give us an idea where to follow up the said application.

please I have a question if someone can help.
My girlfriend is planning to visit me in Canada for 1 month, she lost her job 1 month ago so she is currently unemployed. However, I have an excellent job in Montreal and I can easily sponsor her financially. my question is if I presented an official sworn affidavit (along with the invitation letter) with the visa application stating that she will come back to her country before the visa expiry date, would this be an alternative to an employment letter?? and if anyone has new experience with visitor visa processing, how can we increase the chances of getting the visa?

3 November - applied for TRV
6 November - passport requested
17 November - brought passport in VAC in LA in person
18 November - passport received by Visa Office
19 November - visa stamped, passport sent back to VAC
20 November - got my TRV until 2023! Happy!!

I really need some information on their approximate passport return time, cause I have a flight scheduled for next Sunday, December 14.

26 November - passport requested

28 November - passport received by Visa Office

Still the same silence. 800 CAD non-refundable ticket is staring at me from the desktop.

I emailed CPP-Ottawa - no response.
Called CIC's Call Centre and was told that they are unable to help me because they don't have access to my file and don't maintain any communication with case processing centres.

Is it fully non-refundable? Usually, even non-refund tickets have an option of date change for an additional fee of course. Try to contact airline maybe?
Did you check which status your online application has? When CIC already stamped passport with visa, the status changes from "open" to "closed/application approved". At least it could give you some info. I saw my online status changed and only 24 hrs later I received notification update about it that change on email.
