Good day.

My wife just got approved of a visa and now has to go to the Canadian Embassy in Moscow to pick it up. Her medical expires on June 30, 2013 and there isn't much time. My concern is she was diagnosed for cancer at the early stage (rectal cancer) and was removed and is cancer free. I advised her not to volunteer this information to the immigration officer at the Embassy under the advice of a few immigration lawyers. If she gets her visa after June 30 deadline, will she have to go for another physical examination? They will find out about her recent medical history. If this will be the case after getting her visa, will she be denied coming to Canada? Please advise. Thanks.

She can't be refused due to cancer. Spouses can only be refused if they have a communicable disease. So even if another medical is required, the cancer can't cause her to be refused for PR.

Glad to hear she's cancer free now.

Scylla is correct, she cannot be refused because of Cancer.

Also if you land before june 30th the medical wont be an issue anyways, but if she cant land before than, chances are they will be able to extend her medical without her having to do another.

:)

And im very glad to hear she is Cancer free :-*
