Applying to extend work permit after expire date of work permit -urgent please

Hi,
According to new recent CIC policy, employer must submit offer of employment details in CIC employment portal. For submitting those details, employer has to create a account with CIC, which is validated by CIC in 30 days and issue the PIN no. So I received PIN no after expire date of my work permit. Because of all these i am applying to extend my workpermit after expire date of work permit. So what will happen to my work permit extension? Kindly suggest me.

I assume you have stopped working - if not, you need to stop immediately.

You will need to apply to restore your status in addition to applying to extend your work permit. Expect it to take up to four months for the restoration application to be processed. Once your restoration application and work permit extension are approved, you'll be able to start working again.
