Dear all,

I want to become a landed immigrant in Ontario. Could you please advice as of
how I'd better apply (provinicial nominee, skilled worker, etc)? The following
applies to me.

I am from Greece and have a Greek passport. I came in Ontario in September 2008
with a study permit and completed a Master's in math in the summer of 2010. I
received the actual degree in November of 2010. These were full-time studies. I
also worked as a teaching assistant 130 hours per year.

I started my phd in mathematics in September 2010. I'm still studying although
I am taking a leave of absence this summer. I also had a leave of absence last
summer, so in total I have been studying full-time for 16 months since Sept
'10. I have also been working as a teaching assistant for 130 hours per year.

I have my general IELTS obtained a few months ago with very good grades (don't
remember exactly but definitely beyond the requirements for all immigration
requirements) so I should be fine with the language.

Do you think I'm eligible to apply as a skilled worker? I'm currently going through
the requirements but it would be great to have a second opinion from somebody
more experienced in those matters.

I am also willing to quit my phd in order to apply for the nominee program as
master's graduate
. Would that be possible? I am currently here with a study
permit (although I can always quit my degree and provide proof for that.), so no
work permit. Also, since I obtained the degree in November '10, I'm still within the
2-year period as required.

In any case, I would be very grateful for any advice..

Thank you very much in advance for your time.
