Hi, my partner is from Peru and we have done the PR Inland Sponsorship. They have given their fingerprints and we've both been accepted as viable sponsor/candidate. They are just waiting on the medical exam request and the final background check to be completed.
They need a visa to enter the US. Do any of you have any experience or knowledge on applying for a US Visa while waiting for full PR approval? Is it smarter to wait until PR is fully approved or do they have a high likelihood of getting approved for the visa while in this state of waiting for Canadian PR? The theory is that we'd like to transfer/visit the US together on our way back down to LATAM when we come and go.
