Applying for TRV while waiting for PR

The background check has three different sub-activities: criminal record check, information sharing and security screening. GCMS notes indicate that the Criminal Record Check and Info sharing are complete. That's why I was only referring to Security Screening. Anyway, you were right. Permanent Residence Application background check does not affect TRV processing, because I got my Passport Request for TRV last Friday.

Hi, in your TRV application, did you submit any letter of explanation to explain the status of your ongoing PR application?

I'm in the same shoes: PR in SS, need to travel to Canada. Not sure how much details I need to give regarding my PR application and if TRV will impact PR.

TRV won't impact your PR application, more vice versa.
