applying for temporary work visa without a job offer

Hi there,

I am from the Philippines. I found this wonderful forum after extensive searching to find some answers to my very simple question.
I just would like to ask, if it is possible to apply for working visa without a job offer but my aunt (a canadian citizen) will support (she will submit Affidavit of Support document) me during my stay in Canada until such time I may able to find one.

You need a job offer, contract and/or LMO (if not LMO exempt). You can try applying for a visitor visa though and look for an employer who's willing to hire you and apply for LMO in your favor. You can then apply for a work visa/permit.
