Applying for Study Permit While Already In Canada

I have a TRV and family here, so I was able to come in November and I started my PhD at Concordia in January. I got my CAQ and then applied for my study permit on Jan 8th and I am still waiting but I have doubts that I might have to leave Canada and come back because they might not issue my study permit while im INSIDE canada and I need to go back to the Visa Office of my home country. The Ircc agent I spoke to once said this shouldnt be an issue but I am still worried. Does anyone have any information on this?

I don't think you should worry. You will be fine.
