I am currently in Canada as a visitor, eta-holder.
I only planned to study here after I got here in Canada... I already have all my requirements ready (letter of acceptance, financial proof, etc).
I understand that cic will reject a study permit application inside Canada with my background. (from visitor to study permit holder) Yet, going back to home country is very expensive, so if I need to go out of the country, my budget only allows me to go to US.
My question is: In the IMM1294E( Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada), there is a section that asks for current mailing address. Should I be filling in my residence address or US hotel address?

Thank you very much for answering!

You can apply while in Canada but have to send your application to the US. If you don’t have the budget to return home how do you have the money to study? Getting a study permit is much harder from Canada because you have to show that you will return to your own country after school.

Financial proof is not a problem, I just do not want to spend money for transportation.
Yes, I also have a proof of employment in my country after school. Would it be sufficient?
When you mention "send application to US", does this mean I have to be in US when I send the study permit online application? (then the country of residence and address would be in the hotel I am staying at in the US?)

Thank you!

You can send it by mail to the US. The fact that you are in Canada is interpreted as having less strong ties to your home country. You must be paying to stay in Canada plus you were willing to travel to the US and stay in hotels so I can’t imagine that is less than a flight home.
