Unfortunately, there is no way to apply for resettlement in Canada directly.
If you want to try to qualify for resettlement, the first step would be to move out of Malawi and to a different country. The next step would then be to be officially recognized as a refugee in that country by UNHCR. UNHCR will then decide where you are resettled.
If you wish to study in Canada, the first step is to be accepted into a full time program in Canada at a university or college. The next step is to apply for a study permit. To be approved, you will need to show that you have enough money to pay for your school fees and also living expenses. This means you would need to show a bank balance of at least $25,000 to be approved to come to Canada to study.
Would warn you that the chances of resettlement to any country is very low. Believe it is less than 1% of today,# refugees and IDPs who are offered resettlement to another country. There is a huge demand for the small number of spots available. Resettlement may take a decade. May sound harsh but I wanted you to have realistic expectations that most applying for the program don’t get selected. It is certainly worth a try but you need to consider other options.
