Hi,

I am going through Project management certification course from Cambrian college in Sudbury, after which I will be eligible for a year's work permit. So is it possible for me to apply for permanent residence in Canada with my work permit.
Will it work ? And how much time will it take ?

You need a MINIMUM of one year of Canadian work experience to qualify under the CEC program, so a one year PGWP may not be enough time to get the work experience.

If you have foreign skilled work experience, you might qualify under the FSW program.

But right now, you have to learn about the basics. All the info you need is on the IRCC website.

Thanks for the guidance.
Just to inform that I have a work experience of about four years.

To determine whether or not you are eligible, you need to find your NOC Code(s) for your prior work experience (NOC stands for "National Occupation Classification") - this is how IRCC determines whether you are a skilled or unskilled worker.
