good day anyone.

I have tried to read through all the messages to get the information I wanted but it’s quite a lot of messages on this forum to get through.

I would just like to know if as a student I can apply for permit for permanent residence? If so how is this done and how long would the process take?

You must have at least one year of full time paid work experience (typically in a skilled profession) to apply for PR. Most of Canada's programs are points-based - meaning those with the most points are selected. If you don't have much work experience and haven't completed your schooling yet, it may be quite difficult to have enough points to be selected. Details about Canada's immigration programs are here:
