Applying for citizenship when ecoPR was received while outside the country

I received my ecoPR while I was outside Canada a few months ago. I've since made my return to Canada successfully and have my PR card by now. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for anything I can do now to save myself some hassle when applying for citizenship in the future since I was outside the country when I got my PR. I tried submitting a webform to IRCC but they just replied saying they didn't know how to help me with my inquiry. I remember hearing this is a recent problem, but was just wondering if anyone had any experience or advice.
