applying for CEC

Im going to apply for CEC soon, just wondering do i need a police verification still? ive been here since 2011. and do i need to take the language exam even though my first speaking language is english?
any information would be helpful.

Yes, you need a police clearance.
Yes, you need to take a language test (even if you're English native speaker).
Yes, start with searching and reading of the stuff the guys above me have recommended you.
