Applying for AINP with a lab technitian job (NOC 3212 or 2121???)

Hello Friends,
I need your help.

I recently completed my masters' in medical genetics. I have a job offer as a lab technician in the pharmacology department.
My plan is to apply under AINP post graduate worker category. But I am not sure whether i can apply under 3212 - Medical laboratory technicians and pathologists' assistants.
Under the requirements it says Medical laboratory technicians/assistants require completion of a college certificate program in medical laboratory science. I don't have that
certificate and I just have two years experience as a research assistant.

Would it be okay to apply under NOC 2121 if the 80% of the duties matches?

Please advice me.
