Applying for 2173

hi,

my husband applied for 2174 last week, but its very unlikely that he will go through as cap must have been already full by now. Is it possible to apply for 2173 as well as his skills matches with 2173 also? 2173 may last a bit longer i suppose.

It's definitely way too late for 2174. His application is going to be returned unprocessed. I personally think it's too late for 2173 as well. I think 2173 capped sometime in late July - or maybe very early August.

I would say Go ahead... instead of repent later.....take your chance...worst case application will get returned...No Loss!!!!!

thanks for the replies. Its worth a try i guess. nothing to loose as you said.

if we want to apply for only one, where do we indicate that? Is it at the application fee form, wherein fee for only one is paid? There is another generic form which asks if dependent is travelling with principal applicant. May be we can say No thr?

First time we applied for both, this time may be he can apply for only one.

Hi Shalaka,

With 2173 you may get in with a little bit of luck. At the current fill rate, there is space of 16 weeks worth of applications. If we assume a backlog at Immigration Canada of 12 to 15 weeks, your application may make the cut if you send it off this week. And if it does not work out, you can reapply in 2015 under the Express Entry.

second that, I would say 2173 might still be open!! even Spreadsheet suggests that!! Apply on yesterday basis though!! Good luck!!
