I applied offline from VFS in Pretoria,on 20th of May,2015 paid 17kCAD for 1st year of my 2 yrs program, and still has 90kCAD in bank account for families of 5 (self, wife and 3 kids) still waiting,I missed the date of 1st Sept (1st Tuesdays of the new month) to speak to embassy officials in Hatfield,so hoping that I get a positive reply before the 6th of Oct, classes started already in NFL. But all I can say is its worth waiting for they need to ensure applicants do not constitute nuisance in CANADA 8)

Hi Psalmg,

Did you get any feedback from the embassy that they will complete your visa case by 6th October 2015?

I strongly believe that you might get an answer by this week or latest by next week. which will be almost 17-18 weeks case application.

What is your program? Is it University Masters or Post Graduate Diploma?

No news... from the embassy, vfs or cic.. I spoke to someone who told me usually it says 15 weeks it means 16-17 weeks. you have to exclude the weekends or holidays if your counting the week

Hi guys/gals,

I applied on 21st March for a study visa (online). Sent a dozen emails - no reply. Sent a family member to query on my behalf (first Tuesday of each month only) on the 1st Sept (after 23 weeks). Pretoria immigration section communicated that they wanted my travel history. Submitted that recently...let's see. So...23 weeks before any official communication for PTA. Hang in there!!! I would recommend a visit in person to the High Commission...all the best...xxx

Thabish, your story is not encouraging at all. I am on 12 weeks, why does it take so long to process.
