Honestly your story (thabish) made me so upset and from today, I will not keep any hope on this study permit, even after i finished nearly 16 weeks processing time.

Its very strange when they say 15 weeks maximum processing time in the website, some are almost nearly reaching to 23-25 weeks and no reply from CIC.

Lol.. Your still thinking about it.. I have already given up like 2weeks ago.. right now if it comes out or not. it still doesnt change anything... Moreover it my money i was going to take to Canada...

Hi guys,

My objective was not to dishearten you but suggest that you be patient. Focus on your normal life and should the visa come through in the weeks to come...jump on to that wagon. I suspect that you and i shall receive feedback by mid October.

Still the same with me. I'm no thinking about it anymore... What on my mind is how i get my fees back or defer to Jan Intake. cos it already late. Even if you get the visa now you cant travel

Hi Tim,

We hold Mauritius Citizenship and do nor require medicals.

A decision has already been taken and an original passport requested to process the application.I am sending my passport on Monday.

similar case happened last year with SA citizen.

Prepare very well.Just make sure you review all the documents what you submitted.

Make a strong preparation...why canada? why only that college/university? why not your home country?Why only the specific course?

based on your strong answers.....visa would be definate.

Hey guys and girls!

I applied for an online study permit on September 4th and Im from Mauritius. Reading this made me realise how screwed I am lol.
Pretoria should maybe change their system because 15 weeks for an online application is outrageous. I am going to McGill and obviously, classes have started already but I've been following them online so my university gave me a deadline to enter on October 15th or I will be deregistered.
