Hello, My newborn kid is US citizen. I applied for his Dependent Child Sponsorship without his US passport since its taking a while to get one. I did submit his birth certificate.
Will my application get rejected for that reason?

Yes it could because the passport was one of the required documents. If you get lucky you may only be asked to resubmit the application with the passport otherwise you will have to reapply with the passport. Given that your child can enter Canada as a US citizen there is no reason you couldn’t have waited for his/her US passport. Many people in the same position who waited for the child’s US passport before applying. You could end up extending the processing by applying without the proper documents.
