I have submited my appication 27 May and reached CIO in the first of Jun 2009
I'm outside Canada but applied under category 2.
what's about you? did you also applied under category 2 (inside or outside Canada)? what is your timeline?
It's more that 7 weeks till now! I don't know what is the problem?

Yeah, I'm here in Canada and it is arranged employment. They received my application May 28, and I don't know why it is taking so long. It is almost two months now and haven't gotten any reply yet. I believe some of May application have received a response now, and that makes me more stress out knowing they received theirs and mine is not.

same condition as cathy2381I can say that applications with arranged employement may need more time that other category (1 or 3).

Anybody who falls to arranged employment (excluding staroffuture and akuma) experiencing delay response from Sydney NS? Do you guys think they segregate application with arranged employment from others and thats why we are experiencing a delay? aren't they supposed to expedite that???
In my opinion the category 2 may take longer time than 1 because CIO needs to do verification about the job offer to insure that it is genuine and the employer is existent as well as they may have to look if the job offer requirments are matching with the knowledge and skills of the applicant.
whereas in category 1, they look only if the job description writen by applicant is matching the NOC accepted by CIC.
But if category 2 applicant accepted by CIO, I think the process time will be shorter than category 1 applicatn and the rate of successful is higher.

I agree with you guys i applied with AEO and send my full application with documents to CHC Islamabad in Feb 02,2009 (as at that time for category 2 you can submit file directly to CHC) got file no in march but after that no news at all.its almost six months.
