Yeah I also didn't pay the $490 upfront, which is in hindsight not a great idea. I don't think it delays the application by much if anything. I read somewhere that they ask for this payment when they ask for your passport.

I think it won't because you will pay the fees upon receipt of the email. For O ravel which is part of this thread, she receive the email after she went in process and got PPR within two months.

Hi Acecube, Thanks for the info, I see that O ravel paid for their RPRF before they were asked to. I'm thinking of doing that too. Does it make the application any quicker or should I just wait?

my husband advising all to take ab insurance before coming to Canada coz its only after three month you will be insured ..

I guess if you pay the fees now and provide them with the proof right away, your file will be complete. When the visa officer will review the file, he will not have to request same as it was already provided and make a final decision if no further information is required.

After how many days did you receive your passport back and do we have to pay any fees?

Did you receive the copr along with the passport?

Don't forget to state your file number and UCI of the principal applicant if you are sending the proof to the VO. They will generally not acknowledge receipt of your email except the generic auto forward email

Also based on personal experience, please minimise the correspondences between you and the VO unless you are being contacted to provide additional information.

you hve to send two passports size photo with appendix A
your email confirmation of passports request
reciept of proof that you paid the Permanent residence fee
then you drop all at consulate thr no is 2130585 you choose option 8 to talk directly to the lady.
their lunch time is 13hr to 14hr
i drop on tuesday pretoria recieved friday and thursday next recieved passport with corp n visa...Dont sign on any form..it has to be sign infront of immigration officer in canada
your fee for passports transit is rs 2000 something..
check vfs mauritius
canada embassy you will see their fees

I'm curious bcoz they have my mailing address wrong on the ecas and I have emailed them twice to correct it but no luck as yet. I'm just worried if they do mail me documents it won't get delivered.

They will generally contact you via email coz it's easy and most practical.

Did they respond to your email?

They will change it sooner or later.

Nope they have not responded to any of my emails and ecas still showing the wrong mailing address.
I'm worried bcoz my police clearance certificate also got lost in the mail and that delayed my application by two months. And our post office always on strike so they aren't reliable unfortunately.

personally i dnt knw..as i told you all been done by my consultant..if i remember you also did all by GSM..ask them if you have to send or nt..but be sure to keep your originals you got as your husband will need it whn landing.
