Yes they have asked for proof of funds again with medicals.

sorry for the news , but u definitely should appeal, just send official (signed paper letter) not only to the VO, but also to the minister kenney and may be to prime minister office.(u have limited time to appeal!!) I have heard many succesfull stories of VO reversing decision after someone contacted higher officials.especially in cases where there is indeed
just misinterpretation..
you can browse google on this topic.
for example, "Explaining Magic process of mine Rejection to Medical received" at

It was amazing! I agree supporting him to send out appeal letter.

Hello all,

I have applied under the 4131 category but I am thinking to change my job in near future.

Now the question is:

1. Do you guys think that it will affect my case negatively?
2. Just in case, If I get medical request before I change my job, Is it advisable to inform VO? (coz as per my thought there won't be any inquiry about employment once they issue the medical)
3. I am also planning to go to Canada on visitor visa in June. Do I have to face any problem coz I have also filed for immigration?

Thanks.

1. No. i was laid off and was fine.

2. I informed the office about being laid off, but it was before the medicals. After medicals I wouldn't worry about.
3. No problem.

hope it helps! good luck.

Bonjour!

New to the forums here - I received my AOR for the QSW route in January 2011 and am patiently awaiting notification from Quebec Immigration for an interview date (ok, maybe not so patiently :D). My attorney tells me I should expect to hear something between June to November later this year and in the mean time and taking this opportunity to brush up on my French.

Has anyone else in here recently filed and received their AOR around the same time as me? Would be nice to connect with others who are in the same boat and keep each other company throughout the process.

Bonne chance!
Brandon

Hi all
I am waiting for my Passport Request anytime ( let me just hope this) and in the meanwhile my son has to travel to Canada for interview in UBC. If Buffalo VO asks for PPs , can I send mine and my other family members' PPs and can my son send his from Vancouver while he is there and request for his PP to be mailed to his address in Vancouver ? Or he shall have to come back and send his PP from here in US ?

Guys, heading to Toronto today. Waiting at the Houston airport now. Hope everything will be fine. I will share my landing experience very soon.

still happy ... ))) .. good one.

Well, everything went very smooth and easy. Some key points bellow:

1. The application for permanent residence form was not needed. I asked one officer at Customs where should I will have to submit this form. He said this part is taken care of immigration section (which I already completed) but I think you will not need to submit a seperate form for ur PR card. The processing of 5229 form at immigration section includes PR card application. I hope he was correct, coz I did not had to use PR application form. Seniors comments plz..

2. The customs guy used only "goods to follow" form. He did not used the "goods accompanying" form.

3. Everything is very smooth like a butter. takes no more than 20 mins.

4. My wife is landing seperately day after tomorrow. The immigration and customs officer just asked abt her and I responded that she's gonna join me by 2 days. Thats was fine...no further questions

5. They asked abt how much money I am carrying...but had not chacked, even what goods I'm carrying was not either.

Take care guys. Hope all of your journey is end soon.
@smalldusk, wht abt you bro? any update?

There is no news from my side! Little frustrated but I have works to do. Let see how things are going in the next few months. Ayway, I will be landing this summer and finding job. Not mentioning looking for some Canadian chicks. :))
