Hi,
My Full Application (with all the documents) reached the Buffalo office on 22nd Feb, 2011. What are the next steps? What is the estimated wait time after the full docs are sent to Buffalo? Any information about the process, timelines would be helpful.

Thank you

Hi canadaprapply,

Everything in Buffalo now is so slow nowadays... They received my full documents in May24, 2010 and I received my 2nd AOR in Oct 13, 2010. I believe that you have to wait between 4-6 months for your 2nd AOR to arrive but who knows if you are lucky, you'll have it earlier! ;)

Cheers!

Hi all! I got my passport yesterday in mail with the Immigration stamp. I will be going today to Niagara border to do the landing...is there anyone who has done a landing like being in Canada and getting the PR Status?
I am so happy that it all worked out and it happens to be my Bday as well! All with God's graces.

Special thanks to great pals here - Professional1, Markcan, Pasi, Honolulu, garian4u, beauhoe, jattu1980, canadacanada, jstar, Smallduck. I am sure to have forgotten some names...my apologies. It`s been a great help getting to know your experiences and relating it, having valuable updates on each other definately helped the patience going!

I am in toronto and now with a PR status, wud be looking to change my job; being on a closed Work permit made me bonded somehow. I feel so good and its like refreshing memories when i first landed here on a study permit 4 years back :)

My best wishes to all who are seeking updates on their applications. Experiences here definately brings in knowledge and adds to each patience's level. I wish everyone a great career/future in Canada!

Many Congratulations and wish you the best of luck in your new life in Canada :)

Thanks Pro1!

I did my official entry today. Went to Niagara falls, walked on the pedestrian walkway after paying .50 cents till the US side, got a refusal entry letter, walked back to Canada side...showed the docs..went through Immigration...got everything done within 20 minutes.

The only hard part was the walk in the chilly winds on the Bridge back and forth but it was for a greater feeling of Joy to come!!

Anil_Toronto,

Congratulations and best wishes, Anil. I know it is such a relief to NOT be a "bonded" person on work permit. Keep us posted of any new developments at your end. Cheers
