Good luck on your way ;). I see why you have such a short time in your Visa. at least they're careful and reasonable enough to look case by case. If what you're saying above is correct, I should have the PPR sometime in March and get the Visa in April. I don't have any restriction with US Immigration so mine is considered as "no-rush application" ;)

I got my passport back today on Feb 21. The surprising thing is, my visa will expire on March 31, 2011. They issued the visa on Feb 18, 2011. How cum it happen?

I can also see those people are talking about you that the guy is a no rush applicant and he is still very very small duck, lets give him some time to look around american chicks before he messes up with canadian chicks ;). good luck my friend
You're so funny man ;). Toronto might be a good place to drink and cheer up sometimes this summer ;)

You r most welcome dude. My e-cas is still "in Process". I am leaving for Canada next month and will stay there until mid August. I will have to apply for a F-1 visa from there during mid summer. Any suggestion on that? I heard that toronto is a busy place to get interview schedule.

HI twilight seem u r physician right?
So do u want to stay in canada or usa.
If u dont know, ur residency counts in canda too

I really dont know about the residency thing... I thought I will have to take seperate license exam in canada. I am taking USMLE now. Lets see whats come next. What about you man?

Want to release my frustration:

I started my application back in Dec. 2009 and received my 2nd AOR in May 5th but after that I have not seen any change in the E-CAS status. When I sent the case specific inquiry to the buffalo in the NOV. 2010 I got reply that your file is "in process". Since then I am waiting for medical or atleast change in the E-CAS status but neither is working in my favor.

Guys any suggestion...., Should I send the case specific inquiry again? ??? ??? ???

Just a curious question:

Is there any chances that Medical request sent by the Buffalo and is lost in the mail...
And if yes, then what are the consequences?

Hi room3,

Better send a case specific enquiry

Pro1,
Please suggest me about my landing. My situation is, we have to complete landing by March 31st. I had a monster exam scheduled on March 31st in USA. Now I have to change it. I really dont want to take it with me in Canada, since I will met my wife after a long time. And I cant reschadule it much earlier coz that will effect my preparation. So, I have the following options..
1. My wife come to Canada on March 31st and I also land at the same airport 5-6 hours earlier at the same day. In that case I can take the exam on 29 March, only 2 days before my actual schedule (good for me). Do you think we can make it on the last day without any big hassel? 2. Same senario, but I reach 1 day earlier. (my 2nd choice); 3. My wife reach on March 28, and I reach on the same day 5-6 hrs aerlier; 4. I reach 27th and she reaches on March 28. (If same day landing although seperately doesnot make any problem, I really want to go for that). No flight for her between March 27 and 30. What you suggest me? I explained you with detailed options so that you can get me easily. LA people made my life little difficult. I really want to take the advantage of every hour for my exam without endangering our landing process. Thanks in advance.

I would never suggest that you land on the last day of your visa expiry date. You never know what may happen as they have refused to land many people for illogical reasons at the canadian ports of entry.

Do not take the risk of doing so because if they refuse to land you at that day, you will lose the entire thing and be out of the game.

Book your ticket to Canada tomorrow, and land alone and go back the the USA same day. Then your wife can land alone anytime this week, or next week, but even do not let her wait to the last day.

LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Good luck.

Man, thats the problem...if I leave USA now, I cant come back. I am on my 60 days grace period.

Will not do any thing, I started the process in Oct-2009, rcvd AOR from Buffalo on 30/04/2010, nothing since then expect ecas status changed to inprocess in 2nd week of Feb. I sent a case specific inquiry to Buffalo and they sent me an standard reply, and I think they just copy pasted or sent me reply in standard format as its much different from replies I got for my address change or other queries.

Following is the reply

Your file is in a queue awaiting initial assessment. This could take up to 64 weeks from the date we received the application.

My file was transfered to Buffalo on 22/12/2009, so 52+1+8 = 61 weeks gone.
