I am also processing from LA but no response yet My time line almost similar to you guys...
keep updating
Yogi

You are at least 3 months ahed of us. I hope you will get your PPR very soon, I wonder why it is taking around 5 months after you finished your medical exam. Zang (one member of this forum) got his PPR within 1.5 months of his medical exam. Hope everything will go smoothly in all of our cases.

By the way, what is your e-cas status right now?

The ECAS Status says processing It is still showing the last Update at the AOR time
I have emailed LA Consulate the response is it is still with in the usual processing times so wait.

hi, guys, I asked my Agent to send an email to Buffalo office to check my Status, and the following is the reply:

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

But I check my E-cas status is still "received by visa office", are there any one has the same situation? Does it mean My application now is "In Process" and I am waiting for the Medical now?

Best wishes to all of us. ;D

Another question for you guys....

In case if I get PR and land on Canada...stay there for couple of months to get SSN and other cards and then plan to attend a school in USA (and if I need a new visa in my passport) what I should have to do.... I can take visa from Canada in my Passport which was issued by my home country or I have to go back to my home country to get the visa from there or there is any other option?

Guys I know...how you feel while I keep posting such kind of "if" questions on and on, but thats the way my life is in USA..... if that then what it would be!!!

I didn't really get what you're asking. Let me try "if" I elaborate correctly.
You go to Canada, finish landing and get your PR card together with SIN card and this process take about few month. Previously, assume that you're full time/part-time student in US's school, you have to check with your ISSO and see if you meet all requirement on I-20 to maintain status for you to be back continue studying. And assuming you're not eligible for AV process (>30 days in Canada), if your Visa is expired, prepare to apply for a new Visa on the current US status.
If you're not previously a student, I guess you have to get admission office send you a new I-20 to your Canada address and apply for a new US visa in Canada.

Hello everyone,

It is more than 6 months since I have received my 2nd AOR and have not heard back from the buffalo VO, so I am planing to send a case specific inquiry.

Please let me know how to send the inquiry, Is it through: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=buffalo ?

Sorry not to post my question more clearly. Here u go---
I am on OPT right now which will end on early 2011. I am applying to PhD program for Fall 2011. My visa is good until the end of 2011. But if I enroll to fall semester I will need new visa to get in to usa as it will not considered as contineous enroollment if the new school strats more than 5 months after ur previous status is ended. Most likely I can leave USA with a new I-20 in my hand. In that case will I be able to get new visa from canada in my old passport which was issued by my home country?

Thank you

HI, Your timeline is familiar with mine, I asked my Consultant Agent to send a letter to buffalo last week, and they replied the email this Monday as follow:

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

So my Ecas still showing "received by visa office", I am so confuse whether my case is now in process or not.

Best wishes. ;D

Hi Twilight871

I am also really tensed but don't worry since this is a holiday season we may expect a delay in the process.

Thanks

Karsatjaya, any news for this week from LA? Man, its killing me.

hihi, room3 if you sent email to buffalo and they reply you, would you like to share with us?

Yes it wrote In Process, but my E-cas still showing " received by visa office".

I think your timeline is familiar as mine, yours is in process too, but not showing on E-cas.

I will send the email to buffalo VO later today. Regarding sharing, I definitely share with you guys....

They sometime do not change the E CAS status, so according to me your case is "in process" 8) because there are so many members in this forum who submitted their medical and ECAS is still RBVO.

Congrats for yr progress.. 8) 8) 8)

Cheers
