Congratulations Smallduck! Hey, do you know anyone else whose application is in similar status as ours?
My application was transferred to NYVO, and yours stayed in Buffalo. I have a feeling that you'll have PPR before me :D.

Hi Yarla,

I went to Newark for Medical. The great thing is they are open on Saturday. I called for appointment but it was kinda first come first.
First I had blood & urine test then eye sight check/height/weight. After that all the questions that need to be filled in medical form and then heart beat rate and stuff.

You need to go to another place for chest x-ray. It took around 4 hours as there were many people at x-ray place.

Overall they were very co-operative.

One more thing the charge is $255 + $100 for blood test from lab (I was told when I went there but you can probably get it covered by your insurance.)

All the best !

HI,

IS THERE ANYONE WITH MEDICAL TEST EXPERIENCE IN NEW JERSEY..OR OTHER STATE...??

- HOW MUCH TIME IT TAKES FOR THE WHOLE PROCESS...?
- DO THEY DO X-RAY TEST ON SITE OR NEED TO GET IT DONE BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT...?
- WHAT TESTS ARE DONE ?
- ANY OTHER INSIGHTS OF THE PROCESS..?

THANKS..!

Congrats Smallduck ! I hope they at least issue PPR to all people who finished their meds in Dec...so we have last hurdle to finish in New Year :D

I also got my status updated.
What was added is:

But no date associated to that change.

What is your case time-line?

Its reallllllllllllyyyyyyyy frustrating.

I have submitted my full documents on april 1st 2010

Got my 2nd AOR on May 5th 2010.

But after that there is no change in my status.

It is more than 6 months and still says same "Received by Visa Office".

My timeline:

We received your application for permanent residence on January 11, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 1, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on March 10, 2010. The Buffalo office may contact you.

Room3@ This is exactly what all applicants for this month is having. If you want to join in that specific forum you can get in over here.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/buffalo-aor-augustseptemberoctober-2010-t53987.0.html

In most of the members in this forum share your same time line but we all got our 2nd AOR after 6 months since most are from the 0213 category. As per experts it will take another 4 - 5 more months for the medicals to arrive.

Seniors,
I have a question related to Passport expiry and hope you guys can help me out.
I got medical done yesterday and hope it's gonna be sent soon to Ottawa. My passport will be expired by August, 2011. If I remember correctly someone mentioned that the passport needs to be valid at least one year from the medical exam. I wanna renew my Passport now in case I recieved the passport request late December or January ( :D I may be too optimistic though :) but it is impossible for me to do that until March (My home country requires 6 months before the expiry date). Any idea?

Also, Anyone here brought a car from US to Canada OR know someone have it done before?

Hi Can,

I renewed my passport and my son's passport when our original passport was valid for a year. You can call your home country Consulate guys and find out the details.

Regarding the car one of my friend drove his car from US to Canada after getting his PR card. I am not sure about the details.

Thanks
