1. the exact process of applying for a PR in Canada?

first you need to check wheather your profession is there in their occupation list, below is the link.

2. Does my company where I am wrking right now has to do anything regarding my app or I can go ahead myself?

Only think you need from them will be your reference letter and other work related documents showing you work for them.

3. What are the time lines for a PR process approval?

Presently it takes some where between 16 to 17 months.

Hey All!!

I had sent in my passport for a Multiple Entry visa - plan to visit home this Dec while it looks like my passport request would come only in 2011. Few weeks back the E-Cas showed an update - Medical records have been received. I checked with the bank and the landing fee was cashed in...so just waiting all comes out good after some more wait!!

Wish all of you the very best in your processing; i have another week of work left and then would be flying home until late Jan...away from all the stress for a while.

Will keep updating if anything new relates to my case/ application.

God bless all!!

good luck Anil

Enjoy your vacation! :D

USPS express would better it this case bcoz you can track it and get it with relatively less time...

Cheers

I tried to go. Gathered all the details required, but backed out bcoz they take all day to return the passport unlike Buffalo which does it in around 2 hours.
But, yes you can visit LA in person for stamping.
