hi to all,

Congrats to all who got there's PPR and pray to god who is waiting to got PPR like me.

? i send RPRF and cashed on SEP 30, DMP sent Documents and received by office on SEP 30. any body has any idea how long its takes for PP request.

Because my wife and my daughter PP is in Indian consulate office for RENEW i jast gave them today. but they said they not sure when i will get them back because i don't have valid US visa and same thing for my wife and daughter, i told them my VISA is expired and i applied for CANADA PR. i saw them my all the document from CANADA file even my medical request paper.

^ Andypatel, are you in the US on a student Visa?
Are you still in status as a student and authrized by other papers (DS2019 etc.) to remain in the US.
Then it is OK.
Basically the passport has to be valid ( renewed and ready) when your time comes to get the Canadian PR Visa.

no i am not on student. i had H1-B but it is expired and right now out of status thats why i filed for CANADA.

You just need to wait my friend.
Cheers,

Hi Beauhoe and Candiur,

I received my PPR last month. The whole processing including Sydney stage took me 13 months. However, one of my good friends who sent the full application package to Buffalo on June 4 hasn't even received the 2nd AOR. Could you let me know if it's "Normal" for now to wait for 4+ months for AOR and another 6+ months for medical and PPR? Thanks! My friend's situation is different from mine. Her husband is on H1-B but she's the principle applicant. Do you know if such a case will take longer to get the approval?

I completed my medical today at Houston which cost me 375$. All are pritty simple tests. It wouldn't cost more than 50$ in my country.

Is there any kind of restriction that the passport should have at least six months of validity period when we have to submit it on PPR?

I understand your problem now.
Hopefully all will be solved with either PPR or approval of H1 B extension.
Bets wishes.

Did you call them Beau?
what did they say?
I visited the local office that open only on Tuesday and they told me that everything is okay and that I am going to get it very soon. Just to let you know that it could take longer than 50 days mentioned on the website.

I believe there should be something wrong in your PR card issue, since july 17 upto date is almost 80 days !!! it says clearly in their website that the PR card processing time for new arrivals is 50 days (once Canadian mailing address is provided) !!

Did you mention at the port of entry that you are going to leave and re enter when you landed, and which mailing address did you provide ?

I think you should call them to figure out !
Hello there Pro,
I am sure that everything is okay with my pr card. I was at the local office a week ago and the officer told me that I should get it soon. I just wanted to let you guys know that they are taking longer than the 50 days (for new comers) on the website. May be they like my picture and want to keep it for a while ;D My health insurance card just came yesterday.
Cheers,

Hello there my friend,
1. It is very strange that your country consulate is asking about your US visa I think it is not their job. They should tell you whether your passports can be renew or not and when can you get them. Renew your passports has nothing to do with US visa unless ICE is controlling your country policy
2. You should not tell them about your Canada papers I think it is better to say that you need valid passports to get out the country with your family
3. From now on, you should pay attention not to get in trouble
4. Any mistake can potentially lead you and your family in ICE jail that could compromise your PR file
5. You just submitted your medicals so you have between now to December or early January 2011 to get your visa
6. Last point at the border, the officer will ask about your status in the US, just tell him/her that you were on H1-B
We will be praying for your family
Cheers,

thanks for response.

Hi beauhoe,

As long as you talked to them directly, and they said everything is ok, that is fine.

By the way, how long did it take to receive your OHIP card ?

Good luck.

Passport needs 1-yr validity before you send it for stamping. Take care of this right now so you don't lost the days spent in renewing passport after getting the PPR.

No change of status for the last 4 days since it was departed from US. There is still a chance that It could be tracked but in case if not... then what options I do have? I have a scanned copy of her medical req. form.. Plz advise urgently...
