dandan - this is a very common response. You can fix all the gaps and resend.

The no record retained means they have no evidence of returning your application. This mean you can re-send all the forms again. The letter is a coupon for you. You will return it to the address returned mentioned on your form or to Buffalo.

Hi Professional My application was sent back from Buffalo. I had gaps in my personal history. The marked box reads like this:

Your submission does not meet the definition of an acceptable application as set out in Regulation 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. (see AppendixD)

Then below it says: All of your application forms and documents are being returned to you in this package. Unless you paid for processing bla blah..No record of your application ahs been retained by this office. Please return this letter and the attached appendices when you resubmit your application.

It is really vague!! Where do I resubmit my application? Buffalo? Sydney?? or is my case closed??? agh!! such a dissapointment. I also noticed that the application is stamped July 28 2010 yet it was sent back to me September 23rd. Which date counts?

Thanks in Advance

Dan

Hi ,

YES! I did go to KSA but came back. I mailed them couple of time and most of the time their reply was:

"Your Case is in process, we can not provide u the date when your case would be finalized ".

that's it ..............same shit all the time......

Thanks!! I take your word. Now let me ask, if in the process of my application being returned, I received a job and got my working permit, how would I advice them of that? in another letter or should I just put it together with the returned application???

Thanks

danel

I see, My advice is,

Since you have left the country (i am not sure for how long), and you came back now, you need to update your documents with them to reflect your current situation.

I f you are already studying in canada, send them proof of attendence, transcript, tuition fees receipts, and if you have gone to saudi arabia for long time during your scheduled semesters (fall, and winter, not summer), send them an explanation letter justifying the reason of not being a full time student attending the school at that time.

They have never asked me to update any documents, but i was updating them continously without request. For example, i was sending proof of attendence, stamped transcript in a sealed envelop from my school in canada whenever i finish any semester.

I sent them copy of my off campus work permit, temporary SIN card, payslips from my first job in canada as an international student, along with an explanation letter about the employer information, the job tittle.

Therefore, in your case,

If you have not updated any documents in your application since you applied, and it is a long time (18 months) containing leaving canada while you are an international student (especially if it was not during the scheduled school break), you will face a heavy document request when they get back to you later.

Another question, since you left to the KSA, they might as well ask you for a police clearance from that country which might add more 5 to 8 months delay on the processing of your application:

Have you been to that country before? if yes, did you already submit police clearance from the KSA with your full application ? even if the answer is yes, and it is over one year, and because you went back there again, they might ask you to update that document which is a nightmare.

Waiting for your answers.

If that is the case, update your application forms to include the new changes on your situation, along with an explanation letter pointing the changes.

Collect the documents as soon as possible, adjust the forms, make sure that there is no gaps, and send them back to Buffalo not anywhere else.

Do not forget to send a copy of the letter sent to you by them when they returned your application.

You need to do it as soon as possible since you have a deadline to do so, i believe that they mentioned it on the letter sent to you.

Good luck.

Hello Friends,
I have sent my full application to Buffalo 1 week back. Can anyone clarify me if it is possible to check my application status? In some threads, I have seen people saying that their application status is "received by VO". In which website I can check that status?

How long will it take to receive the AOR from Buffalo? After receiving the AOR from Buffalo, how many more days/months it typically take to get the PR (If everything goes well)? How does Buffalo office sends the AOR?

If possible, please let me know briefly the stages the application goes through after sending the full application to Buffalo, USA.

Thanks in advance !

PS: My application was recommeded by NS Office in June 2010, as per the previous rules.

Regards,
MS
