Hmmm ok, I guess so. I think I will wait for 90 days since I received my Buffalo AOR, before sending an e-mail to them for status (around June end). Let's see.
i am in the same boat as you guys.. i received my AOR on April 23rd. I am waiting for this june end to send an email inquiry to Buffalo VO.
hope to get a different answer rather the copy-paste one :)

I just got my Meds request yesterday! Someone had rightly pointed out that it would come in 10-15 days after the status on ecas starts showing In Process.
Thanks guys! :)

MarkCan - got link for the statistics? Is the 250K number for FSW or all immigration categories?

¬m2l

250K is the total # of immigrants in one particular year (approximation). I don't have the exact link but these statistics are from CIC website (somewhere there). Rest is all my deduction.

Thanks Mark and Anil! :)

I just realized, that the date on the letter is June 7th. That means that 6 days after the file went to In Progress, the letter for meds was sent out. I got it June 16th..with a deadline of sending in the results by August 6th.

Anil, judging by these facts, your letter should be on its way if there are no further documents that have been marked as required.
Good luck and God bless!

Hey Guys,

My file changed to In process on June 11 2010. Yay! I am currently in Canada on a work visa. I had considered the work visa showing my job occupation as '*** Manager' would be a great plus for my case. But in an incredible misfortune, the visa office that issued my work permit got my job/occupation wrong! Of all the things they could have gotten wrong!! At immigration they were very friendly by were unable to fix this and gave me a number to call. Now that work permit is useless to me in terms of bolstering my case. By the time I get it corrected Buffalo/NY office would have already completed the decision making process. Atleast that's what I think! Do you guys agree?

Also, is it critical that I inform the visa office of my change in residence from US to Canada? I haven't done so yet and it's been 10 days since I moved. I have asked my lawyer about it today. Hope it doesn't complicate my case particularly because it just went to in-process stage.

I see others that are very close to my timeline. Let's track our cases together. Good luck to all. A rejection after all this would be a real let-down!

Nervous,
A.

Good luck to MarkCan! It's nice to see your case has progressed. You have the distinction of being the owner of the most successful thread on cases in Buffalo. Just owing to that, you should be able to pull rank with the CIO :-)

Congratulations on moving to the next stage. One more hurdle crossed means one less worry. If they have got your designation wrong, then I see no point in showcasing it unless it adds value to your case. I think your lawyer would be the best judge of your case in terms of sending further information. I personally feel any changes should be sent with the medicals so that it doesn't complicate the case. Just my personal thinking. Wish you luck.

Thanks buddy. Wish ya luck too. There are quite a few who have completed medicals now and are in the final stage of getting further update from Buffalo. All eyes on the "finish mark" :)

One small update at my end:

I completed my medicals today. No horror stories as some threads showcase. It went pretty smoothly and I was outta the GP's office in 2 hours. Yes, they ask ya to strip but it ain't bad at all. Hope that the medicals are sent out next week.

Has anyone received some info on the medicals from the GP? Something like "It looks all good" etc.? Keeping my fingers crossed about the results.

Mark

MarkCan, my DMP told me that they would not contact me unless they found something wrong with our results. So if we do not get contacted by them, it means your results are good. Just that you need to followup with your DMP office to know the tracking number of your results so that you can track on when it reaches Ottawa.
