USPS does not update tracking everyday if post is to deliver to long distance and by road.
Sometimes USPS updates it once its reached to destination city or sometimes after delivery.

Pooja123 - Yes. USPS is not as good as Fedex or UPS when it comes to tracking. I think my reports would have got delivered by this time. As suggested by the lady in Ottawa office, I will wait for 2 weeks and try to contact NY office to get the status, if I dont get any other update in the meantime.

Hi torontonian2010,

Advise him to do the digital PCMP fingerprint it is faster than the traditional paper ink one, in my case i proceeded to the fingerprint on April 6 upon request from Buffalo by email( same day). It was done and sent electronically to the RCMP, then the RCMP processed it only in one day, April 7 and sent the results to Buffalo same day by mail (April 7).

I got this information because i sent an email to the RCMP after one week, and they replied back immediatly to my email the day after, saying that they processed the fingerprint electronically and sent the results to Buffalo by mail on April 7.

Here is the address where i have done my digital fingerprint with no need to take an appointment, and they have branches around canada, check the link:

That is very encouraging about Buffalo, which means that applications processed in Buffalo do not necesarily are the ones that need long time to be finalized as many people think.

Thank you so much for the valuable information, keep us updated please.

Wish you the best of luck.

Thanks pro1 - For my case I thought this phase would be alot longer. I lived in 4 different countries and thought background check would take forever which is supposed to happen after medical. I'm thrilled this phase happened to be the shortest.
I hope you get your ppr sooner.

That is another valuable point you have added to our information that you have lived in four different countries, and the background checks went very smoothly in your case, which means as well that living in different countries does not necessarily lead to a long background checks.

Thank you again me2land for enriching this thread by your great information. When you get your visa, i will try to be the first one who says congratulation for you, and for now, congratulation for your "maple leaf stamp" it in advance.

Hearty congrats me2land!!!!!
My AOR is June 9th 2009.
I too had four country vists outseide USA and finished my medical on March 22nd.
Your case makes my hopes rise a bit!!!

I got AOR from Buffalo on 30 December 2009.
Status changed from "Received by Visa Office" to " In process" on 24 May 2010.
So it took almost 5 months.

Hey Bipul,

our status changed around the same time. For me it was on 28th May - the status changed to In process from Received by Visa office. My file was transferred to NY from Buffalo..do write in your updates if you receive a medical request..
