Hello all,

I was wondering whether we get PPR in email or regular mail? Just curious. Seniors please advise.

Thanks.

How are you guys preparing yourself for the Job search in Canada?
What are the predecessors of this forum are saying to you from there?

Hi,

I am sharing my status. I am waiting for medical request. Hopefully they ask soon.

STATUS:
<IN PROCESS>

We received your application for permanent residence on April 6, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 9, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on June 15, 2010. The Buffalo office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on January 20, 2012.

My action timeline

June 9th 2010: Email from Sydney NS, with file number, telling me to submit complete application to buffalo:
=> Question. Is this what you guys call AOR#1 here?

July, 2010: Supporting documents sent to Buffalo

Nov, 2010: Email from Buffalo, saying that application was received, and a new file number was given.
=> Question. And this what you guys call AOR#2?

(no communication received for 15 months)

Jan-20-2012 Email from Buffalo, asking updated employment offer letter and foreign police certificates

Feb-10 2012; sent out a new foreign police certificate from UK and a old one from USA (more than 1 year old)

Mar-27-2012 sent a new FBI certificate.

Question.

So I am waiting for Medical, and 3 months? and Passport request.

Now is May.. If I am expecting passport request & visa issued around September. are my expectations reasonable?

Hi all,

My passport was received at NY office on April 27th. Is this normal processing time. Still have not got it back.

Thanks.

Hi cheerup,

Have you received your passport with PR stamping.

They have received my passport on May 21 and waiting for them.

Can you update me.

I am so mad at myself right now >:(

I sent them Cashiers check for incorrect amount. Can you believe that?... They send it back, and asked to send the correct amount which i did. It was delivered on 05/16. Now waiting...

Well, things happen but i am worried because a lot of files are being transferred to NY office and that could cause delays. We will see. Please keep us updated.

Thanks.

Hello all,

Just noticed an update that "Effective immediately, the North American processing network has been restructured to modernize and streamline processing of permanent resident applications abroad. As part of the restructure, the visa section of the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo has been closed to the public and the permanent resident workload at all United States (U.S.) visa offices has been re-aligned....Applications currently in process in Buffalo will be transferred to the Case Processing Pilot Office – Ottawa (CPP-O) for processing. All original supporting documents accompanying applications in Buffalo will also be transferred. Those who have already sent documents to the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo, New York do not need to re-send them." Detail information can be found at:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob425.asp

So my concern is do I need to contact Case Processing Pilot: Ottawa, Ontario instead of Buffalo VO, NY for further information. I was asked for additional medical test and my DMP has submitted my additional medicals test on 23 July 2012 to Ontario, Canada. I haven't heard anything form them till date? Has mine case been transferred too? Seniors, please advise

Regards,
CyTric
