Friends, help please

After almost 20 months since I received the AOR in U.S. in 2010 Apil. I moved back to my home coutry 2010 August. My friend just received the medical request letter at her U.S address.
I have two questions that I need your urgent help with:

1. The letter also requests an updated police certificate from FBI because the one I originally sent has expired. The old one was dated 2009 December. I cannot go back to U.S to get a fingerprint again. Since I have lived in my home country since last August, can I obtain a police certifcate from my home country instead?

2. If I have to get a fingerprint to submit to FBI, is it possible to obtain the fingerprint outside of U.S.?

Thanks very much,

Really appreciate your help!

Remember one of the members printed out the card from FBI web Site (a little thicker paper) and got Finger printing done from a local private agency and fedex to FBI with a return envelope . Some of this might change, but there is an option you can pursue. Best of luck

One suggestion, write a mail to immigration and explain them that you are out of US since .... date .

The chances are high that they will waive this new request.

All the best

Hi,

That's a good movement, in most cases at NY the processing start in 2 weeks and you get MR in 1 month.. I think you should wait for MR instead of doing it in advance.

There is a dedicated thread for NY transferred cases.. please join us there.

Regards,

Hi,
Just got our MR in the mail today it was dated Dec 16. Our e-cas had an additional line saying that they have started processing our file Dec 15. The line was added on Tuesday, Dec 20th. :D
This is such a nice Christmas gift to us.
Hoping that all that are waiting will get the same good news soon...
Merry Christmas to all!

I got a similar request from detroit office just recently. I got request for proof of funds and reference letter from current employment. Aside from that i got medical request, rprf, current immigration status, irs wage and income transcript, updated fbi, updated aunt's proof of residency. My lawyer said this is normal process.

Hi,

The bank statement (POF) is very normal, they ask mostly along with the main document. HR letter is not so common but I think they want to confirm your points so I suggest take a lead from previous letter and then ask HR to prepare a new one.

I suggest you prepare a draft letter yourself... mention all the points which are going to be counted for application.. then HR can give a better letter.

hope it helps

Keeping fngers crossed.

Hi guys,

I received my CAIPS note today...

The good thing is they already computed my points and it says there that I passed the minimum requirement. :D
There is also some notes about my University and work experience which is pretty basic...
They even wrote there to advise the "subject" that he/she passed the selection and an interview will not be required at this time.
Never heard from them yet though....

The sad part is this line:

PAPER FILE SENT TO: SEH BF FILE TO: TMR ON 30-03-2012

which is another 3 months of agony.... :(

Anyways I guess we can't do anything about it but to wait and wait and another wait....

Good luck to all of us!

It is still really good to know. Do you have any idea when was the last time they accessed your file? I have heard that is is every 3 months, which suggests that it has been early Dec?

All in all, I guess next time they issue meds.

Cheers,

E. K.

PS: When did you submit CAIPS application?
