Dear all,

Finally after ~7 months from 2nd AOR, I noticed recent update "In process" on my e-CAS. I wonder what it actually means (i.e Is Initial Assessment sucessfully completed & files now ready to move on?). If so, how long the process normally takes to reach Medicals from now. Please advise.
Thank you all.

if they have added following line
"Your file was reviewed and we start processing on XYZ date" then yes and get ready for medicals otherwise wait for couple of months

Hi ZulkFal

This line was added to my Ecas in Aug 2010, but nothing up to now.

And in my case it went into process on 19 October 2010. MR is still awaited. I have applied CAIPS notes today through my relative in Canada. I will decide about voluntary medicals after receiving the CAIPS notes.

Hi Vermas,

I am going to order CAIPS as well this wk.Could you plz give me some information regarding following things or correct me if i am wrong.

1).fee must be ordinary cheque or draft
2).I am the principal applicant,if i do need to fill up separate CAIPES for my wife who is on my application as well or just get the the document to release the information form signed by me.
3).What i must sent in proof for my ID that i am living in canada. If work permit copy is enough and if i need to send anyother document for myself or my wife who is on my immigration application as well and is with me.
4).And i need to mark only CAIPS ( information abroad ) and nothing else ) What about privacy act

There is nothing like "Your file was reviewed and we start processing on XYZ date". Only change that I noticed is it's "In process" instead of "RBVO" previously but the inside details still remains same.

Hello Simp,

1- My relative has arranged a banker's/cashier's cheque for C$ 5.00 drawn in favour of Receiver General for Canada
2 - Since your file number is same, in my opinion, you need to fill only one form and both of you should sign.
3- Copy of work permit and SIN should suffice.
4 - I would mark Receive copies of records, in English, and CAIPS (information abroad).

Best wishes,

Congrats on proceeding onto the next step. I almost have the same timeline as you do. I received my second AOR on Oct. 28th 2010. My status is still "Rec. by VO"

FSW-3 are on slow par currently (just my observation nothing more than that). Send a query email to Buffalo.

Just hang on guys ... the process maybe slow but it is still moving. I emphatize with you on the waiting. It really sucks but we have submitted ourselves in the process. In the meantime, we can do productive things while waiting including learning different things that will help us in Migrating in Canada. Check that site and there are many relevant information about it.
