Applied 28th June 2011. Still waiting for PCC from FBI. Credit card got charged about three weeks ago. I am in USA. Thought I could send it along with application but realized I was too late. Sent app without PCC.

How much time will the CIC give to send your PCC?

My request reached FBI in July 25 2011. They just charged my CC on Aug 29. I sent and inquiry to them and they replied that it takes 8-12 weeks to process. Visa office give me only 60 days to submit PCC

Are u sure that u have been given 60 days only.. because in the mail which i got, the first page talks of the medicals which need to be done within 60 days but the second page has the different checkboxes and details against them.
the officer has ticked against RPRF and the PCC's (which has the details to submit them in 90 days).
these letters are direct prints from GCMs. i wonder if urs could be different

Just check ur letter again..would be surprising if they r giving different timeline to everybody.

I would send them an email/fax stating that FBI clearance is taking 8-12 week and that you have already requested a copy. Also somewhere in the forum I read about someone that posted an FBI contact and this helps to speed up the process.

mine reached 29th july..so should expect a charge on the CC soon.

Anyways good news is you can contact to get the status of your application....they are extremely polite (telephonic or by email) and respond to your query within 24 hrs. Also, they entertain your request if you have a genuine reason,like immigration deadline....just politely make your request (Personal experience).

yes they did tell...
couldnt take medicals earlier due to some personal stuff

I applied on July 28 hoping that by the time the FBI CC comes back to me maybe I'll be closer to receiving a potential request for another set of PCC documents (since I sent one to Visa office after PER as a supporting document and I remember it taking forever to get the PCC from FBI esp compared to my UK or India ones which is somewhat ironic but what can we do)

Going by Rod's calculation and experience I will get mine back in late September, if that.

Has anybody applied for FBI PCC recently??


I applied on 29 July and there hasnt been any intimation from them so far... Just want to compare timeline
