Just noted that today is exactly one year since you applied :-X Buffalo is very slow. And to mee it seems they are only getting slower given that next week it will be 11 months for me and no MR (you got MR in 11 months). Just a comment

Today I received a strange call from Unknown number: asking just my name and than he hung up....may be this guy wanted to verify my office number and company.

I guess Buffalo Visa office is doing some random checks....as my addrerss just disappread last week from eCase

I wonder what things I have to imagine and be optimistic to be in the race

IMO i doubt it was Buffalo :P Why would they just ask a name?

Hi Victoria,

Thanks for the wishes. Now the wait is killing. Have been waiting for the last 6-7 years for the same (have applied earlier also)

Wish we all move faster in the process and get through this non-ending race.

Thanks

Kittu

Dear Kittu,

I hope our persistence will bear fruit.

Good luck for all

Also yesterday, after 5 months, the sentence 'Medical results have been received' is added to my eCAS. You too will receive some news .... All the best!!
NDVO is ..................................NEW DELAY VIZA OFICE ...... ??? ???

I am so glade for you aNil, we also applied in 2002 but unfortunate we were rejected without refund. I hope all will ok this time.

Goodluck. Persistence always pays off. My first application was returned because of a loss form - my second application went thru :) By the way, you may want to check this Migrating to Canada site. It's very informative.

Hi guys,

Just to say things going well so far.

We have our SIN numbers now. The cards should arrive in a week or two. Was going to trade my UK driving license in for BC license but was told I would not be able to collect it until our PR cards came through. Since I don't fancy spending 2 months with nothing but a temporary piece of paper as a license I figured I would wait until I'd moved here permanently in October time and hopefully the PR cards will have arrived by then.

Able to access the bank funds we transferred into HSBC Canada over the till with our passports as ID. The bank cards have been mailed to the UK and will probably arrive whilst we're over here.

Anyway I have an important job interview tomorrow so I will get to everyone's PMs once I have that done. Sorry for the delay.

We're off to Victoria at the weekend to visit my great uncle and also some other friends we have there. Then next Weds/Thurs we are off to Harrison Hot Springs for our wedding anniversary (our anniversary is actually the day we fly back so we're processing the formalities a few days earlier! :)).

Wayne.

Thank you.
That is good to know.

I have some close friends in Canada but I don't want to bother them if applying for caips is much work.

Additionally my representative lawyer they told they could alternatively send a status inquiry to the visa office regarding my application.

Does anyone know if that could slow down/affect the process?

JasonBourne said:
FYI

They do put comments on your file even if you are in RBVO. But if other applicants around your date haven't seen any progress then it's likely that your file would not have been touched.

If you have anyone in Canada who can request CAIPS notes for you, then it could be done for as low as $5. And you don't need to send the documents physically as well -- you can just scan/fax the documents to your requester who in turn can e-mail them (after adding his/her relevant info and sign and attaching a proof of being in Canada).

Hope this helps.
