I agree. I am scared that VO's may be reaching their yearly quotas and now we will have to wait for next year...

Rod

I have never heard of a visa office meeting their yearly quotas as early as August.

Please remember, when a visa office is given a quota the resource they have available matches the quota. For example, CHC London have been given a quota of 17,500 FSW visas to issue for 2011 - they only have sufficient resource to process 17,500 visas. Therefore, they are extremely unlikely to be able to process everything twice as quickly as they are resourced to do.

Maybe around November/December time it's feasible a few visa offices may be out of visa quotas, but IMO no way they will be out by August.

Wayne,

I do agree that in no way they have reached their quotas. But I think they might be slowing down in order to spread more evenly whatever is left in the quota? Its just been very quite in the last 2-3 weeks all over in terms of ecas updates, etc.

I am a bit suprised that they called you for some form of interview at this stage. I had earlier thought that once you were "in process" that implied you had scaled the interview stage already. I don't think I've so far learn't of any other person interviewed when he/she was alredy in processing stage. Best wishes.

In Process means the eligibility review is complete and that they are now scrutinising your documents.

It would seem logical that the time they would want to interview you would be if they are unsatisifed with any of your documents, and therefore I cannot imagine anyone getting an interview UNLESS they are in process?

Hi All. After almost 3 months after receiving our Visas, I will be making my way to Toronto shortly with my wife and son. We are now seated just outside the boarding gate and our flight departs in about an hour. A new beginning awaits us in just about 24 hours. Its a mixed feeling after leaving behind so many good friends and memories, but at the same time there exist a sense of excitement of all the new friends and experiences we will meet/face. Best wishes to all. Cheers.

Best of luck to you.

Also I would like to wish all the members who received Visa/Medicals.

Temasek... all the best for your journey to the "Final Destination".. Have a good life ahead.. Go and fulfill your dreams...
Be in touch and do tell all of us how your experience was

regards

I will advise that you use
Immigration Section
High Commission of Canada
38 Grosvenor Street
London, W1K 4AA.

However, I am surprised that their numbers are wide apart when they are actually the same building.

I really hope not.
Is there really such a thing? An annual quota? Isn't that what the cap limits are for? Besides they have also taken applications this year so I wouldn't imagine them stopping to process more applications.
