Ohh then it that case the fault is yours..... I take back my comments about your agent. Anyways, I would suggest to have the Degree handy and dont wait for VO to ask for it.

Mitali

Yes, FD and Stocks are totally acceptable. Any legel tender (in other words currecny of any country) is acceptable as long as it is equal to the required amount in Canadian Dollars.

CIO is more focused on the completion of application and supporting documents. They do not look deep into the authenticity of the documents provided. If you will send them all required documents, they will accept it. It is VISA OFFICE job to verify that all the documents are authentic and are not fabricated in any manner. So yes, danger is there in this stage or any other stage, if visa office cannot justify the authenticity of any document.

I hope it is helpful.

Thanks for your reply. I have read few NER for insufficient points also & mentioned in instruction guide if your score is equal or grater than pass mark after your application forwarded to the visa office as per post june guideline. Please clarify to me.

are you speaking for montrealgirl or someone else?

Congratulations to all who received Medical Request, Passport Request, especially those who received Visa.

I would like to know about Proof of fund required at the time of Port of entry - Landing Canada. - what is the minimum & maximum canadian dollar we can take with us.

Also can we show Bank FD ,Shares & Mutual Funds amount (INR) at the time of immigration process @ canada airport

Should we have fund in canadian dollar only or INR would work. like 5000$ + remaining INR (indian bank FD, Indian Stock valuation etc)?

Please guide me so I can plan.

Thanks in advance.

For FSW Cat 1, the minimum is the minimum settlement funds as defined by the latest CIC guidelines for your family size.

There is no maximum, although either way if you are carrying more than $10,000 CAD in cash you must inform the officials of this at port of entry.

Funds should be liquidated and in an easily transferrable currency. CAD, USD, UK Sterling or Euro are recommended.

Various rumours about whether bank statements are acceptable, Qorax says to avoid them but I know a good many people on British Expats who have been fine with them. I think it may depend on the currency, country and how big the bank is.

Dear Bhavik,

Best way is to open bank account in Scotia Bank while you are in India.

You can take 10K CAD with you.

Mayank

You can take as much as you like with you, but if you carry more than $10k in cash, you must inform them.
