Hi guys,

I got a PER yesterday almost 7 months after submitting my application to CIO and exactly 1 month after receiving an unfair NER.

My visa office is Buffalo so the drama continues. CIO has taught me what it means to be resilent so Buffalo, bring it on.

Thanks to those who offered advices (special mention to Indira and 9jcanada) during my unfair NER period.

Please reactivate my row in the tracker and update.
good man welcome back in slow train

Plz Should we write to London VO for slow processing and Y so many ppl have been stuck to RBVO for months? Any senior suggest please?

Regards,

Hi - whilst others around you are also RBVO then IMO there is little point in writing to the visa office. They won't process your case faster as a result of writing to them.

IMO you'll either get no response or you'll get a "we are reviewing your case, leave us alone" type of standard reply.

I realise this is very frustrating, especially when older applicants (July/Aug/Sept/Oct 2010) are still RBVO and some March 2011 are getting medical requests, and I know their claims of fairness and equality and processing in strict order are clearly not true.

But every minute spent replying to a query is a minute not spent on someone's case.

So as frustrating as it is IMO the best course of action is to leave visa office to get the work done, at least unless your individual application falls behind all others around you.

The best tool you have at your disposal for getting through this is patience! :)

Btw Kolhapuri - went to a Fusion Indian restaurant tonight in London before we got the train back, and one of the curry dishes there was called Kolhapuri! :) I didn't realise your use name was named after a curry? ;)
Wayne.

Well Wayne, Kolhapur is a famous city in Maharashtra where i come from. About 3.5 hours drive from Goa. And Kolhapur is famous for its lamb curries. (Now every Indian here is going to say his home town is famous for curries but hey, Wayne has eaten in London the curry from my town, so I win).

It is like Yorkshire Pudding or Worcestershire sauce. So if it was called Yorkshirey then people from Yorkshire will also be called that and so do the pudding coming from there.

I can tell you one thing Wayne, you have good taste in curries. Kolhapur is a place you should visit if you go to India, and India is a place you should visit if you want to see a good place on earth.

Cheers

We had to wait almost 2 months after PER to get RBVO, so 29 days is still not so long.

Which is why I included phrases like "I understand it is frustrating".

But unnecessarily hounding the visa office will not increase the time it takes to get your visa by one second, all it will achieve is to cause delays across the broad.

Visa office and CIC need better communication, no doubt about that, because it is unfair and discourteous to keep applicants in the dark for so long sometimes. Since CAIPS notes can be ordered (and I assume now GCMS notes for those files which are transferred) and I don't understand why they cannot cut out all the admin and simply expose all the information available on CAIPS/GCMS via ECAS?

But you have to work with the system as it stands.
