I think we will here from Buffalo till Aug. I feel good about Aug not because it is my birth month ;) but I think It's almost 30 weeks after they received 1st files. let's hope together that this summer brings us good news and we won't have to wait till next year.
When I think about 19 months processing time since they officially received our files (mine 25th March) I get crazy >:(
Try to stay positive. We are all in the same boat :)

mine reads the same. however , that is for sure not the reason most of us are still waiting for some kind of correspondence :).

True, but a ND applicant told me his is the same and he has received mail from VO in ND.

Dear ekundapsy

Hi! Hope you will receive some news from CIO as it's not late at all in your case. PER's come in at least 30-35 days and longer and even much longer. So keep cool. As for your payment, I would say don't worry about using a debit card. In my country, there's no credit card available and all we can get is debit cards. I know quite a number of my friends who have appplied post 26 June with their dedit cards( mostly Visa) and all have received their file numbers. I don't think there's any difference between credit cards and debit cards in terms of encashment by CIO. Of course it is always safer to pay by bank draft or money order than to pay by cards, but credit card I believe bears to advantage to debit in this case. Please be patient as it is still 2 weeks since you applied and may be less since your package was delivered, and keep checking your card for encashment. Hopefully everything will be fine.

Good Luck! ;)

Katy

Thanks, Katy....
That was very reassuring...
Nice to know I have a few big brothers and sisters in the house....nice happy family this is!!!
I used a Debit Mastercard, another thing that came to mind was, does their site use the Mastercard secure code? And if they do, how do I get the code across to the CIC?
I will like some answers from people who have used the Mastercard credit or debit cards are their mode of payment. I want to know if they supplied to CIC their Mastercard secure codes, or if it was not required.
I have been to the market to buy a lot of patience.....In fact, Patience is now my middle name (lol)
Thanks once again, Katy...

Dear friends,

I landed in Canada last year and i'm planning to move there perminantly within few months, i have some enquiries about life there , and any help will be greatly appreciated

1. how long should i still support my life and my family? and if i cannot get job after 6 months do the govenment give me any financial support?

2. I think that i can support my self and my family for about 6 months but if i cannot get job how could we ive there?

3. what are the available jobs that i can get putting in mind that i have MSC in anatomy

4. do any body has idea about life in newfoundland? is it costy? is it good place for new immigrants?

kind regards
I see you applied under FSW2, doesn't that mean you already have a job offer? Well, you need to be able to support your fsmily, thtat is why it is a huge requirement to show a substantial sum of money as proof of funds. Mandie

Katy, I used visa credit card for my payment and I always need to input 'verify by visa' code whenever I do online purchase for security purposes. With this payment however, I only gave details as requested by CIC, ie card number and verification value code (3 to 4 digits found at back of the card) etc. Payment was processed without me giving the verify by visa details. I however contacted the credit card company in advance to inform them of the impending transaction, lest payment is denied for security reasons. I hope this helps. Mandie

thanks for the info..mine changed to RBVO on March 14th..:)

thanks
