Hi, everyone...
I sent my application by courier to CIC on May 26th 2011 complete with all documents, and fee payment with mastercard debit card, and I am yet to receive any reply concerning my application. My debit card has not been encashed, and I have not received any acknowledgement.
I am getting very worried, but not yet chewing at my fingernails.
What is the next step that I should take? Is there any other person on this forum who has a similar problem? My NOC is 3111, My visa office is Accra, and I applied from Lagos, Nigeria.
Pls, someone reply and tell me what to do.....I am sitting at the edge of my seat right now, eyes glued to the screen....

Hi ekundapsy,

Your concern and worry is understandable. As 9jcanada has mentioned in his post many applicants have had to wait for a very long period to get the 1st eligibility results.

Having said that, what I am concerned about is the "Mode of payment" adopted by you which is Mastercard DEBIT card. I dont think DEBIT card is acceptable, only CREDIT cards/ Certified checks/MO/Bank draft will be allowed.

You may want to double check the usage of DEBIT card and if that's a mistake (hopefully not) then you still have time to send in another application before the new rules are implemented on 1st July.

@ 9jcanada - What do you think?

Just wanted to add that the current timeline for encashing credit card/MO etc is approximately 7-10 days.

Regards.

Hi Viktoria,

I thought "Decision made" will show up only at the VO stage. I believe at CIO stage only eligibility of the application is being assessed and the final decision can only be made by the Visa officer. If its a NER then the cause(s) of rejection will be mentioned in the Email sent to the candidate.

I say so because I have a failed application and the Ecas for that application still shows ER complete CIO-S.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Regards,

Mitali

Hi Mitali,

In my case, e-cas showed Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete.

2 days after I got NER, ECAS showed Decision Made.

When I got PER few days later ECAS was Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete , and is the same today.

Regards

Viktoria

Thanks Viktoria for the information..... another discrepancy or maybe because my failed application was from the pre 26th June time period.

Thanks. I missed that bit. You are absolutely correct. Somehow I thought the OP paid with a credit card. I think there may be a problem with payment with a debit card.

Dear NDVO Admins,

Not to put any undue pressure on you - but Uncertain's status needs to be updated. He too has received his visa.

Dear mikey2010,
Cool down. Our moderators are doing an excellent job. I have not reeived my visa yet and only my sttaus is decision made. I live in Nepal and it takes some time to receive passports through consulate office in Nepal. They usually give passports back on tuesdays. So I am hoping to get my PPs back this Tuesday or by next Tuesday at the latest. Thanks for your concerns though and wish you good luck.

Hi All!

Just to let you know i check E-cas this morning and the status is "decision made" as this is before a pssport request there is a big chance we go rejected unless there is a system error which nobody else has reported yet.

I am feeling really miserable this morning and hope we receive a confirmation soon...

Don't know why but i cant login into ecas this morning. When i enter my credentials i receive this message

Hey destiny, the system is acting funny this morning. So it could be a error. Can you please share your NOC, Visa office, when you applied, when you got per etc. ?

damnnnnnnnnnnnn thats a good news and you are worrying. lolz. Your are going to get the visa.

I am honestly not feeling positive right now...cause all the checks i did online suggest that a decision made on ecas before passport requets is a rejection...
