Well a current overview of the situation now that people are actually receiving visas:

Of our total spreadsheet catalog

Received visas 2.25%
PPR 13%
Med requests 25%
AOR 44%
PER 91%

Please view the visa office summary here for the picture at each individual visa office. Our spreadsheet represents approximately 3% of the total applications that CIO have received.

Wayne.
Great analysis Wayne

I really appreciate your support, Wayne. But I'm comparing myself to both of the spread sheets on this forum and another Egyptian forum. People now from Cairo VO are receiving medicals or at least their status changes to "in process" in a very short time after they receive their PER. As far as i remember, one of them received the medicals in less than 2 months after the PER. In my case, five months have passed since i received the PER. :o :o :o

Their contact was on the 30th of March to send explanation for 2 concerns and i have already sent them every single paper, and documents to clear and to prove ever thing and I'm sure that what i have sent are more than enough. >:( >:( >:( >:(I even sent them recent PCC ana Proof of funds. Adding to this that my papers are very well presented and organized. >:( >:( >:(

I know that many people have considerable delays, but they are all in the same boat and same time line regarding their VO. Even people from London VO, they are in the same boat.
For me, i'm the only one from Cairo VO who is facing this dilemma! :( :( :( :( :(

Sure thing! I'll let you know as soon as I receive it. I'm paranoid about the same thing, I have very little faith in the local postal system so.....
Anyway, I'm surprised you received the email today. I thought the 'Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 3, 2011' bit meant that they had already gone through everything, were satisfied and would send the medicals in a couple of days. I had initially calculated that they would have sent the medicals on the 7th and it would get here by the 23rd. But if they sent you the email today, it could be they sent my medicals out today as well, which means they could take another 3 weeks to get here. :o ???

Sigh! I know I'm over thinking this....just can't help it right now! ???

i feel the same... i was so anxious and i coudnt wait for next week as i was expecting the med request too....
but in a way its a good thing... at least we know that med request is soon to come....
anyways, i'll just have to wait and see how the events unfold...
hope ull get ur letter soon :)
good luck to all of us :)

Hello Canady,

Just remain positive. I applied before you and also got my PER before you. Eversince my file got to London visa office, there's been no obvious action taken on my file that I know of. I've been on RBVO for ages now and I even sent an inquiry to the visa office without any response. If Asaif can wait patiently, then I guess I have someone to learn the lesson of patience from. Wayne was right in his advice. Just remain positive and continue to exercise patience. Your visa ofice will get back to you when they're ready. I know the feeling of sadness and frustration the uncertainty brings but there's little or nothing you can do at this stage. Just be prayerful and optimistic. It is well with you.

Thank you, Bman. You are right! I have nothing to do at this stage other than more patience!

Moori...I have sent you PM.

Bman and Wayne:

+1000 :) for spreading those positive vibes. Your words balance the forum mood, which maybe down to some and up for others.

The progress that we experienced across the application timeline, compared to pre- June applicants, is considerable and should be a looked at as an incentive.

Personally speaking, looking backwards at my timeline, and where I am now, make me feel the achievement, one of not too many in my life. I am patient enough to wait till it is all concluded.

It's an experience to remember...

Canady: my conversation is not only aimed at your situation. It goes out there to all.

Stay POSITIVE.

These people are nuts!

Why did they leave London out of the slow processing VOs?
