I consider a lot how painful it could be when families are apart and my prayers for your family being gathered soon with a faster coming processing. I believe that your case will be finalized not in a long time somewhere around 2 to 3 months by maximum. Maybe its all done in a month from now :) They have taken into consideration our files as priority ahead of others despite the fact of the random processing or a different processing speed from case to case or officer to another. By the end, soon you will celebrate your time with your husband ;)

Waiting for your good news :)
Thank you so much, Moori. It is so kind of you to take the time to be supportive of others when you must have so much to do yourself in preparation for the big event - landing as PR!
I keep hopeful that something will come soon and take heart from those who have received MR even though their ECAs has not changed. The system is so flawed to keep people in suspense like this but when it comes good we will all be able to focus on our new life.
Thanks. :-*

Queencougar,

I understand how difficult waiting can be specially being married and in long distance. I was planning to spend my birthday with my spouse traveling and I got extrmely ill and had surgery and spent in in the hospital instead, worst was that he could not be by my side because he has no way of comming to the US since his Visa got denied. We got married over a year ago and finally decided that instead of me moving back home it was best to be in long distance and apply to Canada for immigration (my salary at home would be to low to provide for both of us). In the end I know how hard it is to wait, but I know someday when we are in Canada living happy together I will forget all the pain we endured during the long distance.

I know this pain will make us stronger. And yes sometimes the process seems unfair and has no explanation for how VO's work. But there is nothing else to do than keep praying and working to make our dreams come true. Cheer up! Canada is waiting for us :D

Rod
I sympathise with you, Rod. We are in the same position so I need say no more. All the best and I hope to see some news from you very soon as well as some for my husband and I. He has moved into our new home in B.C just last weekend and so we are a bit concerned that there might be post that goes to his old flat before the ECAS change of address is processed. We wouldn't want to miss the Medical Requests by them going to an old address :o.

On another matter, Europeans on this forum - the chase is on in the battle of the year

If history is to be repeated, we, the UK, will be last again.
I know how that feels at the moment....... :P

Buffalo Applicants,

A little ray of hope that Buffalo is aware that post june 26 gets priority... Not that it means much as I chew my nails thinking that June is around the corner and I am concerned that we might become a multi year process if we dont get Medical requests prior the new NOC list and new laws (if any) take effect.... Anyways just wanted to share this

This is a good news!!!
See the reply i got in March about my status of application which was transferred by CIO Sydney on 29 Nov 2010
" To date your application has not even been created in Buffalo. The creation of permanent resident applications in our database along with the mailing of the acknowledgement of receipt letter is taking a minimum of 30 weeks. "

waiting game. ... i am ready to wait till June 15th when their 30 weeks period will get over...
after that?????

Buffalo and London could both learn something from New Delhi about how to process applications effectively and communicate politely!
Why should it be that both these cannot do what ND can do?

Well its already 4 PM EST but still ECAS is not up.

Would it be good to order CAIPS information at this point to know status of the application. My application is 'In Process' for almost three months. What information can be ascertained from CAIPS.

Thanks in advance.

Similarly, we have a huge excess of points and my husband has been working in Canada since August 2010 (not as long as you, entemaria, but he has paid his taxes!) We had no choice really about Visa Office that would have made any difference.
Our twoi choices - Buffalo or London!!!!! ::)
That is what we in Britain would call "Hobson's Choice".
For those not familiar with the phrase, it means no choice at all (or as in this case, the choice between rubbish and more rubbish!!) You made the best decision you could at the time, so don't be hard on yourself about it in hindsight. :)

After 30 weeks period they will simply say that ..... due to high volume of applications they couldn't meet their own deadline. I coulnd't understand one thing, if so many people are applying through Buffalo, than where are those applicants who are receiving their Medical PPR.
