For us, they have not provided a timeline or validity for the PCCs. It simply says, please provide a PCC. Guess, you must go with the global thing, the 3 months validity.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Have update the projections page following 5 April updated totals - current predictions are 12,182:

There are some occupation on that NOC list that can never reach 1000 cap even if left open for the next 5 years cause the requirement are unrealistic besides how many of them in that category would be able to afford the processing? Every NOC should not be given the same requirement. In my country for example hardly, would you see any crane operator with education in that field, they just go over to meet some one who has also learnt from another to learn.

I still feel this is not fair. It takes many people a lot of energy, time and money to put those supporting documents together. Ours took us well in excess of 3 months, with efforts from families, friends across 3 continents to put together. If the CIO is insisting on keeping the initial document, then hey must be able to reactivate the file if the circumstance of the applicant changes after NER, a long as it still within the current MI. It would not be fair IMO to expect them to go gathering all of those documents again if they need to reapply.

Not only is it unfair I think it may be bordering on illegal. The original documents are your property and unless anything in the forms you signed you agreed to pass this property over to them permanently, then they are on quite dodgy grounds refusing to return them.

At the very least they should make it clear. IELTS tests are not cheap (£108 here in the UK) and should we need to apply again we'd have to now take another test, even though CHC London already HAVE our damn test results which are valid for 2 years!

We'd have to go through the bind of getting work experience letters again from past employers, which wasn't that easy first time round, even though CHC London have these on file and since it's past employers the references will not have changed in the slightest!

There's no way we WOULDN'T have to get everything again, because you're not going to be able to apply to CIO and miss all your documents and just say "just speak to the guys in London, they have all our docs".

Obviously we're hopeful that our application will succeed and that we won't need any of this stuff again. But I think in all fairness CIC should at least make it a lot clearer if they are going to keep all the documents. Like a box saying "I agree to let CIC keep all my original documents" so everything is clear to the applicant.

Hay guys,,

Dont forget one thing
we are near to the time when CIC will introduce new cap. yap i mean by June'2011. Do you know what it means in other words. the applicants from Jan to june'2011 will be in same situation what we are(pre june'2010). I mean they will be under baclog and then from 1st july'2011 till may be oct'2011 will be the time when they will clear up our files and then they will process to the new applicants which are say Aug'2011 to Nov'2011. So the people who are applying now will have their medicals next year same as what we will go through

I think so

Cheers,

Kavya

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

Krishna,

The reason why NDVO asked for a new passport for Prab is, his passport is issued in 1999 and the picture looks very different :o :o. His passport is valid until 2019:P. Now i have to convince the passport officials to issue a new passport for him :).

Your case, i don't think you would require a new one anyway. As long as it's valid for a year, it must be good to go.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Indira,

Thanks much for your quick reply and congrats for getting your MR. Hope every thing will be smooth n will get your visa.

Krishna

Hi everyone, I feel a little bit upset now because I found the ones sent their applications earlier and later than me have got their 2nd AOR from Sydney VO but I haven't. Since I didn't send complete police clearance with my application files, there would be a 2nd AOR if everything goes well. My case has been in process since 24th March but I haven't received any email. Is it normal?

Join the club. Some October 2010 applicants at London have medical requests already. We sent our application in August 2010 and haven't heard a dicky bird yet.

Seems processing at visa office depends on a great deal of factors - NOC code, how many addresses you've lived at, how many documents they have to perform background checks on (some of which may be with third party companies) and also I suspect the actual speed of the individual immigration officer handling one's case.

So all this means that things will be coming out in a somewhat random order at VO!

Well friend, I am even more upset as several london people after me are getting 'in process' when i am still 'RBVO'. I am also upset with my self that i didnt put ND as my VO and made a silly mistake of putting London on my form. If only getting upset could help then i am very very upset. Tough choice. We have to live with it.
